About This Time Tomorrow
Ev. Teresiah Wairimu
“In 2 Kings Chapter Seven, we read an account of a great famine in
Samaria in the days of Prophet Elisha. He was a man of God, a man of faith. The famine was so great; women were eating children in turns. So
Elisha the prophet responded to the crisis and prophesied over the nation saying, “Tomorrow about this time, a seah of fine flour shall be sold for
a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria ,”
(2 Kings 7:1).
“The fact that Elisha could declare that scares me. Prophets must hear
God, they shouldn't be emotional people. They must speak what they hear God say. As the man of God spoke, one of the king's officers answered and said, “Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” The prophet said, “You will see it, but you will not eat. You will not enjoy."
"Why did the officer speak as he did? He did not have the eyes of faith.
In the natural, there was no sign.
