The Making of a Man of God – Minister John Annan
Interviewed by Wisdom Aseka
Minister John Annan, the shepherd of St. John's Evangelistic Ministry is a prophetic voice in this generation, called to encourage the saints to remain in the faith and to raise leaders who win souls in these last days, as it is written, “He that wins souls is wise,” (Proverbs 11:30 . )
“I was born in Pumwani hospital on 9th February 1977," Minister Annan
says.
"The circumstances of my birth were quite interesting. My grandmother said that I was born before time. My parents really had to work hard to save me because I had not fully developed in my mother's womb. So my mother used to feed me with raw eggs and milk so that I could develop. I survived that stage, became strong and life continued.
What if you die?
“I got saved on 9th November 1994. That was after Form Four. My parents had traveled upcountry, so I was in the house alone. I had planned to go out to a disco. But heavy conviction came upon me. "A voice spoke to me, saying, “What if you die on your way from this place to the disco?”
"If you get confronted with such a question, there is no way you can lie to yourself. I knew that it was the LORD speaking to me. That was not the first time I had sensed conviction. While in high school, I had a number of saved friends who regularly witnessed to me. I admired saved people. You would not accuse saved people when I was around; they had a special place in my heart. I would defend them. They would joke, saying, "What are you waiting for? Get saved!"
“That Friday evening, I turned my bedroom into a cathedral and my bed into an altar. I knelt down and invited God into my life.
