Hope, the Powerful Motivator
By Irene Mureithi
This month, I first of all want to acknowledge the positive feedback I have received from the readers. Thank you very much for your emails, smses and telephone calls. The fact that I know someone is going to get blessed encourages, inspires and gives me the strength to write.
Hope All my previous articles have focused on the need for you to “push” yourself past the comfort zone. But this month, I want to share what has personally kept me strong in the dry seasons of life; Hope. There are times when you are certain you have done all you know or need to do, but you still can't see the results you are looking for.
In a few months, year 2008 will be history; forever gone. Maybe, like me, you feel you have not achieved all you set out to accomplish at the beginning of the year. My word of encouragement is “Hope to the very end.” I love what the Bible says about some heroes of faith in Hebrews 11:13/39 “ All these people were still living by faith when they died…they did not receive the things promised, they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised .”
